IFFHS Women's World Best Top Goal Scorer 2022 :
Katoto and Wullaert 28 goals
Marie Antoinette Katoto is the new leader of the World Ranking, due to her two goals in July, but her serious knee injury in the EURO stage will probably mean that she will end 2022 with those 28 goals ! The same injury for BALLON D’OR and IFFHS WORLD’S BEST PLAYER 2021 Alexia Putellas, at the 7th place with 21 goals and also definitively out for the crown.
Belgium’s Tessa Wullaert counts 28 goals before Samantha Kerr (26), Mexican Alicia Cervantes (26) and Jamaica’s Kadisha Shaw (25). Beth Mead, Romee Leuchter and Lavdije Begolli made the greatest jumps in the ranking of July, and Alex Morgan (18 goals in 18 games) took place in the Top 20.
The most represented goal scorers in the Top 50 : UEFA (31), CONCACAF (12), CONMEBOL (4), AFC (2) and CAF (1). USA and England (5), Mexico, Netherlands and Brazil (4) are the most represented countries in the Top 50.
