Colombia defeated Paraguay 4-2, on the night of this Friday at the Pascual Guerrero stadium, in Cali (Colombia), for Group A of the Copa América women’s soccer. With the result, the Cafeteras were in the second position of Group A, which is led by Ecuador, which earlier thrashed Bolivia by 6 to 1.
The home team’s triumph was built with goals from Mayra Ramírez, Manuela Vanegas and Daniela Montoya (two). Jessica Martínez and Fany Gauto cashed out for the Paraguayans.
Brazil is in Group B of the competition, alongside Argentina, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. The canarinho team starts at 21:00 (Brasilia time) next Saturday (9) against the Albiceleste team at the Centenario stadium, in the town of Armenia.
