With the exception of Brazil (Pelé), in all other countries these are active players though one of them, Roque Santa Cruz, stopped playing for the Paraguayan national team few years ago.
Lionel Messi holds an overall CONMEBOL record - 81 goals, the last of which was scored on March 25 against Venezuela.
