Making a brace in the game for 3rd place vs Burkina Faso (3-3), Vincent Aboubacar (Cameroon) finished Africa Cup of Nations 2021 with a tally of 8 goals. This is best individual achievement in a single edition of the competition since 1974!
Aboubacar missed just one goal to equate the AFCON record established in 1974 by Ndaye Mulamba (Zaire, current DR Congo).
