The World’s Best Man Top Goal Scorer 2021 at March 31 : a powerful spurt of Lewandowski
The month of March passed under the dominance of Lewandowski. The 2020 winner scored 11 goals in 6 games, took the lead and raced far ahead of the competitors. By the end of the first quarter of 2021, he has a very solid tally of 25 goals. Keeping this pace, he could finish the year with a fantastic 100 goals.
But unfortunately for him, Robert got injured in the World Cup qualifier against Andorra being reportedly out of action for a month. Thus, Messi, Bounedjah and other rivals have a good opportunity to at least reduce the 6-goal advantage that the FC Bayern and Poland striker has obtained.
In the meantime, Lewandowski currently has a streak of 10 goal-scoring matches (across all competitions). This is the World’s longest run in 2021 to date. The series can be increased when the Pole returns to the pitch.
Another impressive personal performance in March was made by Ali Mabkhout. The striker from United Arab Emirated scored 2 hat-tricks for the month. Placed now 4th in the ranking with 17 goals, he has already 4 hat-tricks since the beginning of 2021 (three in the domestic league and one for national team)!
