PRESENTATION

 

Alisson Ramses Becker, born 2 October 1992 in Novo Hamburgo, is currently the Goalkeeper of Brazil’s National Team and of England’s Premier League leader Liverpool FC. He won in 2019 the greatest World Awards for a Goalkeeper : the Best FIFA Goalkeeper, The World’s Best Goalkeeper by IFFHS, UEFA Goalkeeper of the season, the Copa America Golden Glove and the Yashin Trophy !


Alisson joined Internacional’s academy in 2002, aged 10. He progressed in the youth before making his debut with the senior team in 2013. Until 2016, he made more than 100 appearances, winning the Campeonato Gaucho in all four seasons (2013 to 2016) ! He was nominated in the Brazilian National Team for the first time in 2015, playing until now 44 matches ( Copa Centenario 2016, FIFA World Cup 2018) with the Copa America Win 2019 as consecration.




In 2016, he moved to Italy and AS Roma. He broke in the starting line-up and became the Serie A Goalkeeper of the season 2017/18. In July 2018 , England and Liverpool FC were the next step. In his first season, he received the Premier League Golden Glove for the most clean sheets (21) and in the second, he won the UEFA Champions League 2018/19 and the FIFA Club World Cup 2019, realizing clean sheets in each competition’s final ! In the same year, he won also the Copa America with Brazil, being named the  best Goalkeeper. So he became the World’s Best Goalkeeper 2019 by IFFHS, FIFA, UEFA and Yashin Trophy ! 

He was nominated in all the World Teams of the Year (FIFPRO, IFFHS, UEFA, CONMEBOL) , taking the seventh place at the BALLON D’OR 2019 !

 He is offen compared to former Italy Goalkeeper Dino Zoff and Belgian Michel Preudhomme (IFFHS Winner 1994). Alisson’s older brother Muriel played also at Internacional, but Alisson is only 28 and has already played 258 matches in his club career and 44 International caps with Brazil.
