IFFHS HISTORY : EUROPE – THE PLAYER OF THE CENTURY (1900-1999)

Johan Cruijff won the ranking of The Player of the Century in Europe before German Kaiser Franz Beckenbauer, Alfredo Di Stefano, Ferenc Puskas and Michel Platini ! All great legend players in the World ! Cruijff ,who won three Ballon d’Or, was the most famous exponent of the football philosophy known as Total Football and is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in football history. Russian Legend Lev Yashin won the ranking of the Goalkeeper of the Century in Europe and in the World. He was the only one Goalkeeper to win a Ballon d’OR ! Dino Zoff and Gordon Banks took places 2 and 3 in the Europe ranking.
